Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach The Pearl Dentistry of Sarasota at (941) 366-3636; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is thepearldentistry.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 135 reviews, which is a strong result for a dental clinic in Sarasota and suggests consistent service.
Sarasota is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Sarasota peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. My husband’s appointment went great today. He does not do review so I’m doing one for him from his experience. From the beginning of the appointment, he was made to feel very comfortable, and his concerns and needs were all met because he has anxiety. Laila his hygienist was very gentle and made his cleaning experience very great one,was seen by Dr. Erik K whom has a great bedside manner and made his exam a very great one.

Please be extremely cautious with this dental practice, please!!! I prepaid for my treatment plan to receive 10% off, and I have written documentation of everything. Then, without warning, Dr. C suddenly left the practice. I only received an email on the day he was leaving saying he was “transitioning” and that two new dentists would be taking over. Since then, I’ve been trying to resolve my account because I still have unfinished services they owe me, and a credit of over $1,600. The office emailed me claiming I have no credit at all, which directly contradicts my records. I also called the practice multiple times and sent the same text message thread I’ve been using since January 2025. They told me they “never received” any of my calls or texts, which is interesting, considering it’s the same number I’ve always used. When I asked them to confirm their text line or check their caller ID, they completely ignored the request. Then, out of nowhere, they tried to claim I had two no‑show appointments and attempted to charge me $200+ each. I have never experienced anything like this with a medical or dental office. With the sudden transition, new owners, and the way they’re handlin

After 13 years with my previous dentist, I finally made the switch to Pearle Dentistry of Sarasota—and I can honestly say I wish I had done it sooner! From the moment I walked in, the entire team was welcoming, professional, and actually made me feel like a person instead of just another appointment. It was such a refreshing change from the “new face every visit” experience I had gotten used to. The dentist was thorough, took the time to explain everything, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in my care. Now… let’s talk about X-rays 😅 If you have TMJ and a small mouth like I do, you already know it’s not exactly a spa treatment. But the team was incredibly patient, kind, and determined. We may have needed a two-person operation to get it done, but we made it happen! 😂 Overall, I had a great experience, my teeth feel amazing, and I’m actually looking forward to my next visit (words I never thought I’d say about a dentist!). Highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality care with a team that truly cares!

Gone to this dentistry for the last two years for all dental needs and the employees and dentist performs great work. Upon last week I get a message saying I owe them $1,600, they billed me for the last two years of my visits … I was obviously shocked and freaked out and a bit because I have dental insurance. When I called there sorry explanation was that they “couldn’t find my insurance” this sounds like an issue of laziness…. It’s easier to bill a patient for the last TWO YEARS of visits rather than call and confirm insurance information?? This just did not sit right with me and unfortunately I will not be back , whoever I talked to on the phone was making excuses rather than taking accountability.

Another 5 star dental appt! Besides the outstanding dentist being so precise & detailed in his work, Dr. Chiha is both a dentist & prosthodontist. He is kind & funny! Although I am a critical care nurse, I have ALWAYS dreaded dental visits! His staff & receptionists make visits convenient & always ensure comfort as #1. I would not pass by so many dental centers by me in Ellenton to drive 28 miles to Sarasota if I was not 100% TOTALLY happy with Dr. Chiha & his staff! I appreciate his humor, his expertise & has great staff. I also like that he is timely thorough & helped me decide on the best plan of care for my dental treatment. His office is clean, bright & very comfortable.
